The general prosecutor of the German state of Schleswig Holstein has presented a note this Tuesday supporting the extradition of Carles Puigdemont to Spain. The Spanish justice accuses the former Catalan president of rebellion and misuse of public funds.

After analysing the European Arrest Warrant presented by Spain, the prosecutor concludes that the extradition is pertinent and fair, and therefore demands the judge to aprove Puigdemont's extradition. The court will decide about the subject in the next days. If they accept the extradition, he would be sent to Spain in the next 60 days.

The prosecutor also advices that Puigdemont remains imprisoned until the German justice decides about his future, given the high risk of getaway of the former president.
