Winter Storm ‘Bruno’ will leave snow in the north of Spain
The biggest impacts of the storm will be felt in Galicia and Cantabria
The storm will stretch from the Atlantic to western Europe, bringing strong winds to the Iberian Peninsula and the Balearic Islands. It will enter Spain this Tuesday through Galicia, advancing across the country towards the east.
Snow and blizzards are forecast in the northern part of Spain, from altitudes over 700 metres, specially in the autonomous communities of Galicia, Asturias and Cantabria.
Strong winds of up to 110 km/h will shake most of the country, causing storm surges in coastal areas of the Atlantic and the Gulf of Biscay and waves between six and eight metres are likely to appear. Only the south east of the county will escape, as well as the Canary Islands.
