Malaysia government and US seabed exploration company Ocean Infinity reached an agreement to start a new search of Malaysia Airlines Flight 370, almost four years after it disappeared when it was flying from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing. 227 passengers and 12 crew members went missing in what is one of aviation’s biggest mysteries.

The search will cover an area of 25,000 square kilometers within 90 days. It will be carried mainly in the area of the Indian Ocean west of the coast of Australia where the plane is expected to be.

Malaysian Minister of Transport, Liow Tiong Lai, has explained that the search is based in the “no cure, no fee” policy, which means payment will only take place in case the whole debris field is found and confirmed by a third party.
